Obituary of Noah Gillespie

Noah William Gillespie 60, of Gallatin TN passed away on June 28, 2017 at Sumner Regional Medical Center in Gallatin.

Celebration of life services will be held at:

Grace Church 901 Long Hollow Pike, Gallatin, TN 37066 on Saturday July 8th at 4:00 PM.

New Beginnings Church of God 2606 IL-121 Decatur, IL 62526 on Saturday July 22nd at 11:00 AM.

Noah was born in Highland Illinois to Noah W. and Letha L Gillespie on August 22, 1956. He went to high school in Greenville, Illinois and graduated in 1974. He went on to earn an Associate’s degree in Nursing from Kaskaskia Community College. He obtained his Master Certificate in applied Project Management from Villanova University in October 2012.  He worked as an RN for hospitals in Greenville, Hillsboro, and Decatur IL: Option Care in Decatur IL; Home Call and Gentiva Home Health which became Kindred in 2016. He practiced in many areas of patient care including ER, ICU, Surgery, Nursing Supervisor, Home Infusion and Home Health. He traveled for many years as a Clinical Operations Specialist and was currently teaching electronic medical records.  He enjoyed reading, sailing and playing his guitars. He was involved in his church in many ways, but his favorite was as part of the first impressions team as a greeter. He had a way of making everyone around him feel welcome.

Noah is survived by his wife Leisa, children: Jennifer Havican and husband Chris, Noah W Gillespie III, Rachel Gillespie, Karli Copeland and husband Danny, and Clint Freeman. Grandchildren: Zoe, Setin, Letha, Aiden and David. Brother Gary Gillespie of Dwight Il, Sister Linda Cappello and husband Keith of Lebanon IL, Sister Letha Lydia Schramm and husband Larry of Newberg OR, and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his Father Noah W Gillespie Sr, Mother Letha Gillespie, Sister Eula Ann Gillespie and sister in law Judy Gillespie.

He will be missed by many friends, family, colleges and patients.
